■ Position eines Spielers in der gegnerischen Platzhälfte, durch die er im Moment der Ballberührung eines Mitspielers dem gegnerischen Tor näher ist als der Ball und der zweithinterste Spieler der gegnerischen Mannschaft.► Ein Spieler wird nur dann für seine Abseitsstellung bestraft, wenn er, wenn der Ball einen seiner Mitspieler berührt oder von einem gespielt wurde, aktiv am Spiel teilnimmt, in welchem Fall der Schiedsrichter einen indirekten Freistoß für die gegnerische Mannschaft verhängt.■ Position in which a player is nearer to the opposing team's goal line than both the ball and the second last opposing player at the moment when the ball is played by another player of his own team.► An offside position is only considered as an offence when the player in the offside position is involved in active play at the moment when the ball touches or is being played by one of his team, in which case the referee awards the opposing team an indirect free kick.♦ To be in an offside position. -
